The property tax rate for the Town of Wallburg is the lowest allowed by the State of North Carolina: $0.05 per $100 of valuation tax on your property.
Example: If your home is valued at $100,000, your town taxes would be $ 50.00 per year.
By being an incorporated municipality, we also receive:

- Powell Bill road maintenance funds

- State replacement of intangible taxes
The Town Council normally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings

The Town contracts with Waste Management for garbage and recycling pickup, and the bins should be placed near the road the night before your pickup day.

The Town Seal was chosen from a number entries from our town citizens. The winning entry was submitted by Mayor Allen Todd and was inspired by the Liberty-Piedmont Institute.
