What are the hours for the Town Park?

During the months of April – September the park is open from 7:00 A.M to Sunset

During the months of May – August the park is open from 6:30 A.M to Sunset

What is the tax rate for the Town of Wallburg?

The property tax rate for the Town of Wallburg is the lowest allowed by the State of North Carolina: $0.05 per $100 of valuation tax on your property. Example: If your home is valued at $100,000, your town taxes would be $ 50.00 per year. By being an incorporated municipality, we also receive:

A share of the county sales tax revenues

Powell Bill road maintenance funds

State grants

Federal grants

State replacement of intangible taxes

When are the Town Council Meetings?

The Town Council normally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings

What do I do if my garbage or recycling was not picked up?

The Town contracts with Waste Management for garbage and recycling pickup, and the bins should be placed near the road the night before your pickup day.

What does the Town Seal represent?

The Town Seal was chosen from a number entries from our town citizens. The winning entry was submitted by Mayor Allen Todd and was inspired by the Liberty-Piedmont Institute. Local resident Randy Power took Mayor Todd’s sketch and developed the town seal, as seen below:
